Lansing Catholic Welcomes Jr. Cougars' Athletic Director: Brittany Zandstra
Deepening Our Commitment to Families and Youth Sports
LANSING, Mich. (July 9, 2025) – Lansing Catholic High School is pleased to announce the appointment of Brittany Zandstra as the new Junior Cougars Athletic Director, beginning this fall.
Brittany brings nearly a decade of leadership experience in athletics and youth programming. She most recently served as Junior High Athletic Director and 9–12 Assistant Athletic Director at Holt Public Schools. Prior to that, she spent over four years at Olivet College, serving as both Head and Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach.
Her foundation in athletic administration began during her time at Hope College, where she worked in the DeVos Fieldhouse supporting campus athletic facility operations. In addition to her experience in education-based athletics, Brittany also held project coordination roles in the private sector, adding unique organizational and leadership skills to her work with student-athletes.
In her new role, Brittany will work alongside Marcus Kirkpatrick under the direction of Kenny Goodrich, Lansing Catholic’s Athletic Director, to grow and enhance the Junior Cougars youth sports programming. “I’m excited to bring my experience to Lansing Catholic and support our youth sports programs,” Brittany said. “As a parent and member of this community, I truly appreciate the value Lansing Catholic places on developing young athletes and building strong traditions for the future.”
Kenny Goodrich, LCHS Athletic Director, shared his confidence in the hire, “Brittany is a great addition to our team. She brings proven experience, a collaborative spirit, and a clear commitment to serving our student-athletes.”
Dominic Iocco, President of Lansing Catholic High School, emphasized the broader vision behind the new role:
“This role represents more than just a new hire. It’s a strategic investment in the future of Lansing Catholic athletics. This role marks an important shift for our school as we invest more deeply in developing future Cougars and opening new doors for families to connect with our mission. I couldn’t be more excited to support this effort. With six state championships in the last five years, we’ve already established a culture of excellence and now we’re expanding that championship mindset into our youth programs. Youth sports are a powerful way to build community, instill discipline, and strengthen our connections with families.”
Lansing Catholic High School remains committed to providing exceptional athletic opportunities that nurture the growth of student-athletes in mind, body, and spirit. The addition of a dedicated Junior Cougars Athletic Director underscores this commitment and reflects the school’s mission to support youth sports at every level.
