Lansing Catholic High School Announces Retirement of Varsity Girl's Basektball Coach, Kacee Reid

Coach Reid leaves legacy of excellence and inspiration on and off the court as she bids farewell

LANSING, Mich. (April 22, 2024) - Lansing Catholic High School (LCHS) bids a fond farewell to a beloved leader as Kacee Reid, varsity girls’ basketball coach, announces her retirement after years of dedicated service to the award-winning athletic program.

Kacee Reid has been a stalwart presence at LCHS, dedicating herself not only to coaching the girls to victory at the 2023 state championship, but also to nurturing the potential of countless student-athletes. Her commitment to excellence, both on and off the court, has left an indelible mark on the school and the lives of those she has mentored.

"Kacee has been an integral part of our school community for many years, embodying the spirit of sportsmanship, leadership, and dedication, and we look forward to her continued engagement in the LCHS family as a parent and friend,” said school president Dominic Iocco. “Her contributions to our basketball program and the positive influence she has had on our students will be remembered and cherished for years to come."

LCHS athletic director Kenny Goodrich also expresses his gratitude, noting, "Kacee's passion for the game and her unwavering support for our student-athletes have been invaluable assets to our school during the past 11 years. Her retirement marks the end of an era, but her legacy will continue to inspire us all, and we look forward to watching her ongoing growth as part of our community."
