Lansing Catholic Announces Jackie Mason as New Head Volleyball Coach

Mason brings energy, experience, and a vision of unity to Cougar volleyball

Lansing, MI – Lansing Catholic High School is excited to announce the appointment of Jacquelynn “Jackie” Mason as the new Head Coach of the Cougars Varsity Volleyball team. A dedicated and energetic leader, Coach Mason brings a strong background in coaching, business leadership, and community involvement to the program.

Coach Mason is a graduate of Rochester University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and has served as Lansing Catholic’s Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach since 2023. She also brings club-level coaching experience through her work with Attack Volleyball Club in East Lansing, where she led athletes aged 14–17 in competitive tournaments and Power Leagues. A former collegiate volleyball player herself, Mason understands the discipline and dedication required to succeed both on and off the court.

“Coach Mason’s passion for volleyball, combined with her commitment to mentoring young women and fostering teamwork, makes her an excellent fit for our program,” said Kenny Goodrich, Athletic Director at Lansing Catholic. “She knows our school, understands our mission, and is ready to lead our volleyball program into an exciting new chapter.”

In her new role, Mason plans to focus on strengthening the culture and unity of Lansing Catholic’s volleyball program from top to bottom.

“My goal is to build a program that’s not just successful, but unified at every level,” Mason said. “We are one team, one family, and I want to create an environment where our student-athletes grow through discipline, faith, and a shared commitment to excellence. Lansing Catholic is a special community, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to keep growing with it. Go Cougars!”

Beyond the court, Mason is also a licensed realtor and event sales coordinator, bringing strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills into her coaching. She enjoys pilates, fitness, traveling, and spending time with friends, family, and her boyfriend, whom she credits as one of her greatest supporters.
