**The April 15, 2020 date for Meet the Cougars has been canceled. It is possible that this event will be rescheduled later in the spring. In the meantime, registered families can feel free to reach out to our coaches directly to get information.
Registered incoming freshmen and their parents have the opportunity to meet and talk with the coaches for each sport and learn about practices, summer conditioning, etc. as well as meet with our band/choir/drama director, service coordinator, and campus ministry/student activities director at Meet the Cougars Night. This is the event to meet our coaches in person before summer break. If you cannot make this event, please feel free to contact our coaches to find out what you need to know about summer practices, tryouts, etc. You can view the event agenda here.
Incoming freshmen and their parents are welcome to join us in the LCHS cafeteria for this casual event on Wednesday, June 3 from 7pm to 8pm. Students can meet their new classmates, socialize, and enjoy a dish of ice cream. This is also an opportunity for parents to meet and connect with other parents in our LCHS community. Our Spirit Shop will also be open during this event in our cafeteria. (Students are welcome to wear their new class of t-shirt, but it is not required. Please have you student dress neat, clean and modest; we will take a class photo with those who attend.) Parking is available in our main lot on Marshall Street and families will enter through our main lobby door 1. Parking is also available in our staff lot off Saginaw Street and families will enter door 18 right next to our cafeteria.

Families are taken on a school tour led by a LCHS student, attend breakout sessions (on curriculum, tuition, college planning, and extracurricular and athletic activities), and attend a question and answer session with our administration, faculty and students to conclude this event. Registration is not required, but is appreciated, please complete our inquiry form or contact Admissions Coordinator, Karen Gavin if you plan to attend.
All 4th graders from the area Catholic partner schools are invited to watch an exclusive dress rehearsal of LCHS’s fall play and meet the cast. Students, teachers, and chaperones are asked to bring a lunch to eat after the play and before leaving LCHS. Students should wear their school uniforms to this event.
All 8th graders are welcome to attend this fun visit day at Lansing Catholic High School! Students will tour of the school, attend mini lessons in various subject areas, learn about student activities and athletics, and meet other 8th graders, current LCHS students, teachers, counselors, administration, and coaches. Lunch is provided and students should wear their school uniforms to this event. This is a special dance only for 7th and 8th graders who attend our Catholic partner schools and LCHS 9th graders. The dance is hosted at Lansing Catholic High School in the cafeteria from 7:30pm to 10:00pm. LCHS provides each school with flyers & permission slips to send home with 7th and 8th grade students. The cost of the dance is $3 each and a signed permission slip is required for all 7th & 8th graders. LCHS 9th graders can attend the dance for free, do not need a permission slip, but should bring their student ID. The entrance cut off time is 8pm and all students should be picked up when the dance ends at 10pm.
A tuition and financial aid meeting for Lansing Catholic High School’s 2021-2022 school year will be held on January 19, 2021 at 6pm in LCHS’s library. Any family (current or incoming) with tuition and financial aid questions are welcome to attend either of these meetings. LCHS’s Tuition Advisor Renee Fischman will review the new online tuition payment system and the financial aid application process for the 2021-2022 school year, and answer any questions families have about tuition or assistance.
This meeting in not mandatory, but is a great opportunity to ask questions and walk through the financial aid process. (March 1, 2021 is the deadline for families to apply to be eligible for the maximum number of financial assistance opportunities at LCHS and through the Diocese of Lansing.)
