Ed Tillett is Diversity Initiatives Coordinator for the Career Services Network at Michigan State University (MSU). As the Diversity Initiatives Coordinator his primary objective is to increase the scope of diverse students accessing and using Career Services. Also included in this role is contributing to the success of the diverse student population at MSU and the ability of these students to achieve desired graduation career outcomes. He has worked at MSU in other roles, as well as at the University of Texas at Austin.
Ed is consistently interested in professional growth and development. He enjoys professional development opportunities such as presenting at student affairs national conferences, serving on various committees, and networking. Other experiences include teaching a business leadership class, being a trained Restorative Justice facilitator, a blogger, a freelance writer, and a philanthropic event planner.
A proud alumnus of MSU, Ed received his Bachelor of Science in Physiology through Lyman Briggs, and his Master of Arts in Health Communications with a specialization in International Development. He is also a proud alumnus of Lansing Catholic High School (Class of ’98) and Resurrection Elementary School.
Ed Tillett spends his spare time volunteering with the Jr. Cougars athletic program, volunteering in the community, mentoring, motivational speaking, going to live concerts, traveling, and spending time with his wife Courtney and three sons, Julien, Elijah and Titan.
