Homecoming 2017 - Join Us!

Sunday, October 1
1:00 - 3:30pm - Hallway Decorating
This year's theme is Holidays:  Freshmen (New Year's Eve), Sophomores (4th of July), Juniors (Christmas), Seniors (Halloween)
 
3:30 - 4:00pm - Powderpuff Warm-up and hallways open for viewing
The school will be open for parents to stop by and see each of the hallways during this time
 
4:00 - 5:15pm - Powderpuff Games at Cougar Stadium
All girls wishing to participate in the powderpuff game must have an updated physical on file with our athletics office and permission from their fall coach (if necessary)
 
5:15 - 6:00pm - Family Potluck
The evening concludes with a family potluck in the plaza near the stadium concessions building.  Grilled hot dogs will be provided, and families are asked to bring a dish to pass (A-P side dish, Q-Z dessert).  Dishes can be dropped off in the concession stand before/during the powderpuff games
 
Monday, October 2
9:30am - All-School Mass - All are welcome!  (uniform dress for students)
 
Tuesday, October 3
Casual dress: Groutfit (all gray)
 
Wednesday, October 4
Casual dress: Twin Day
 
Thursday, October 5
Casual dress: Holiday (Students can dress up to celebrate their grade-level's holiday)
 
Friday, October 6
Casual dress: Cougar Spirit Wear
 
8:00am - 12:00pm - Homecoming Pep Assembly
Students will compete for our Spirit Trophy and hear from our Triple A+ Award Recipient, Joey Iding C99.  Students will be dismissed by Noon on this day.
 
3:15 - 4:00pm - Mass in the St. John Paul the Great Chapel - Open to the community
 
5:30 - 6:30pm - Community Tailgate begins at 5:30 p.m. (Bring a dish to pass)
 
7:00pm - Homecoming Football Game vs. Ionia
Theme: Fan Shirt or Cougar Blue.  We encourage all of our fans to join us in dressing for this year's theme.  Fan Shirts will be on sale after school throughout Homecoming Week and before the Homecoming Game.  Some plus and youth sizes are available.
 
Saturday, October 7
8:30 - 11:00pm - Homecoming Dance 
Forms are required for guests from other schools.  Dress is casual.  Mass will be celebrated in the chapel at 7:30pm for students attending the dance
 
8:30 - 11:30pm - Cougarfest at Lansing Brewing Company
Parents, Alumni, and Friends are invited, 21 years or older.  Cost is $10/person (includes 1 drink ticket)
