Chromebook Orientations - Incoming 9th Graders
August 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, & 13, 2020
Each student along with a parent must attend a Chromebook Orientation at which students will receive their Chromebook and a tutorial. Freshman Parent Orientation
Thur. Aug. 20, 2020, 6:30-8:00pm
All parents of freshmen and new transfer students are asked to attend Freshman Parent Orientation. (This event was formerly known as Freshman Family Orientation.) Parents will rotate through three sessions from the administration on School Mission & Houses, Student & Parent Engagement, and Student Formation & Expectations. Parents of students with last names A-H will begin in the Gym, I-Q in the Auditorium, and R-Z in the Cafeteria. We need our families to keep our Cougars safe, so wearing a face mask/covering is required for everyone attending this event. If anyone in your household is feeling sick, has COVID symptoms, or may have been exposed to someone with COVID, please stay home. We will have videos of the session content available for those who are unable to attend in person.
Used Books & Uniforms
Online Summer 2020
Families may purchase books from any source including online or from other families directly. LCHS has also set up a Lansing Catholic Parents Facebook page for families to post items they want to buy or sell. Many families buy texts online through various sites such as campusbooks.com, chegg.com, barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com by searching for the book ISBN. Prospective Family Night
Wednesday, October 14, 2020, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Prospective families with children of all ages are invited to learn more about what LCHS has to offer. Please note that there is a set schedule for this event. Families are taken on a school tour led by a LCHS student, attend breakout sessions (on curriculum, tuition, college planning, and extracurricular and athletic activities), and attend a question and answer session with our administration, faculty and students to conclude this event. Registration is not required, but is appreciated, please complete our inquiry form or contact Admissions Coordinator, Karen Gavin if you plan to attend at email@example.com or 517-267-2102.
Middle School Visits
LCHS students and staff will visit middle school students at our Catholic partner schools to talk about all of the great things Lansing Catholic has to offer including classes, clubs, athletics, faith life, and the events that we have planned for their grade levels throughout the school year.
8th Grade Visit Day at LCHS
Fri., November 13, 2020 9:00am-1:30pm
All 8th graders are welcome to attend this fun visit day at Lansing Catholic High School! Students will tour of the school, attend mini lessons in various subject areas, learn about student activities and athletics, and meet other 8th graders, current LCHS students, teachers, counselors, administration, and coaches. Lunch is provided and students should wear their school uniforms to this event. If you have an 8th grader who does not attend one of our Catholic partner schools, but would like to attend this event, please contact our Admissions Coordinator, Mrs. Karen Gavin, at 517-267-2102 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
7th-8th-9th Grade Dance at LCHS
Sat., January 9, 2021, 7:30-10:00 pm
This is a special dance only for 7th and 8th graders from the Catholic partner schools and LCHS 9th graders. It is hosted at Lansing Catholic High School in the cafeteria. LCHS provides each school with flyers/permission slips to send home with 7th and 8th grade students. The cost of the dance is $3 each and a signed permission slip is required for all 7thh & 8th graders. LCHS 9th graders can attend the dance for free and no permission slip is needed, but 9th graders should bring their student IDs.
7th Grade Retreats
February 2 & 4, 2021, 8:30pm-1:45pm
LCHS’s Campus Ministry Team hosts a free retreat for all 7th graders to attend at LCHS. Students are to bring a lunch and wear their school uniform to this event.

5th Grade Activity Visit Day

Students will tour of the school, attend activity lessons in various subject areas, and meet other 5th graders, current LCHS students, teachers, counselors, and administration. A snack is provided and students should wear their school uniforms to this event. (Local area Catholic schools bring their 5th graders to this event. 6th Grade Spring Musical Visit Day
Thur., March 11, 2021, 9:45 am-12:45 pm
All 6th graders from the area Catholic partner schools are invited to watch an exclusive dress rehearsal of LCHS’s spring musical, take part in a fun question and answer session, and meet the cast the cast and crew. Students and teachers are asked to bring a lunch to eat after the play and before leaving LCHS. Students should wear their school uniforms to this event.
Incoming Freshmen Registration Meetings
Registration for the incoming freshman class will take place on several evenings by appointment throughout February and March. Families will be emailed a link to sign up for a registration appointment once their student has been accepted. At your registration appointment, you and your 8th grader will meet with our staff to verify your online enrollment packet is complete and to create a four year plan for your student's classes, service, social, and extra curricular activities, athletics, and more!

Meet the Cougars Event for Incoming Freshmen and their Families
Wed., April 14, 2021, 6:00-7:15pm
Incoming freshmen and their parents have the opportunity to meet and talk with the coaches for each sport and learn about practices, summer conditioning, etc. as well as meet with our band/choir/drama director, service coordinator, and campus ministry/student activities director at this Meet the Cougars event. If you cannot make this event, please feel free to contact our coaches to find out what you need to know about summer practices, tryouts, etc.
Incoming Freshman Family Ice Cream Social
Wed., June 9, 2021, 6-8 pm
Incoming freshmen and their parents will meet in the LCHS cafeteria for a casual meet-and-greet ice cream social event. The LCHS Spirit Shop will also be open at this event.
LCHS Summer Sports and Activity Camps

LCHS hosts a variety of summer camps for students in grades K-12, including football, basketball, tennis, golf, lacrosse, baseball, softball, soccer, and science camp.
